An alarmingly large number of European citizens, more than 73 million, has poor writing and reading skills which forces them to face hardships in labour market and social environment. In order to address this educational and economic challenge EURead, the European Network for Reading and Literacy, has launched a Europe-wide campaign to raise awareness and to improve reading skills in Europe – for every member of society, regardless of their financial, cultural, or social backgrounds.
EURead and the German Reading Foundation (Stiftung Lesen) invite all interested from publishing houses, authors and visitors of the Bologna Book Fair to join us for a panel discussion to learn more about the goals and strategies of the ‚Europe Reads‘ initiative.
